Engine knocking and a bad pulley type sound?

I was driving, check engine light came on, truck stalled a few miles down the road. It started right back up (engine light was off now), I drove about 8 miles home, but there was a knocking and a bad pulley type sound coming from engine. It's been sitting since. The truck never ran hot, all the gauges were at normal levels, no leaks, oil level was correct, no engine light

Can you please record the noise from under eh hood for a few seconds so I can hear it please?, this will help me not guess on the issue. Upload it here in your response. Also when you say engine light do you mean the check engine light or the engine oil light? If it was the check engine light we should run the codes, This guide can help
