Engine light on and engine will barely crank

I get in car put key in ignition and radio with CD player resets, as soon as I put key in ignition. Try crank and barely does anything. Mash gas couple times and barely starts. But radio keeps resetting and acts like there's a CD being changed but isnt. Check engine light still on. The factory radio says correct time and says low fuel but I'm showing I have fuel, not a lot but not on E. Haven't had to jump start but it's come close to that point every time I try crank. Don't understand why when I put key in radio CD player makes noise like it's switching CDs, but the time stays right, and all info comes across screen of radio. Like for lights, and buckle seat belt all your basic info works.

The first thing I would do is perform a CAN scan. It will check all the systems on your car including the check engine light. Here is a tutorial showing what is involved with a CAN scan:

Once you have this performed get back to us with any code information that was stored in your vehicle's computer and we can then properly diagnose what could be causing the problem.
