Blinking engine light after spraying engine with engine off

Most likely he got all the wires wet and water and electric do not like each other and this is the result.

It needs to dry out under some heat to get rid of all the moisture especially around the spark plugs and wires.

It does not damage anything but creates a nightmare until it dries out.

Try letting it idle for about an hour as it will build up a lot of heat under the hood.
