Engine cranks but no start

I was told to change the distributor and coil to fix the no spark problem, would you concur and that the crank case sensor is inside of the distributor as well as I thought that might have been the issue.

The crank sensor is in the timing cover and the cam sensor is in the distributor. See if rotor turns if not the gear on bottom of distributor is tore up. However you may get a code when reinstalling new distributor because of sync between cam and crank sensor you cannot fix this as a local professional has to hook up a scanner to do it.
