Well, my car stalls and then the engine light comes on so I pull on next parking lot, as I pull my car does. So I start it turns over fine but only idles for like 10 minutes and shuts off. So start car again turns over right then I put in drive and drive around parking only 40-50 feet and car shuts off again. Now it it's a continuous same problem. Oh ya, I just had an water pump installed ran perfect now a few days later this new problem. Why and how can I fix it?

Hi,

Based on your description, it sounds like the crankshaft position sensor is going bad, It may have been damaged when the pump was replaced or even from a leak from the water pump.

Take a look through this link and let me know if it seems to mirror what you are experiencing:

Also, if you haven't already, the computer should be scanned to see if there are diagnostic trouble codes that will point us in the right direction. Take a look at this video and let me know if it is something you can do or have done:

Let me know your thoughts on the sensor link.

Take care,
