Good evening,

Do you mean it will idle in reverse and move fine but shuts off as soon as you put it in drive?

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/stall-at-idle

Does it idle in park?

They had an idle speed control motor on the throttle body but if it was bad, it would do it all the time.

Can you check for codes by pushing the off and warmer buttons at the same time and give me all the E codes?

Roy

It runs badly in Idle/drive/park but as soon as you put it into reverse it runs fine. We did find some vacuum hoses that were broken fixed them.

Is E52 related to oil temperature sensor?

The 52 is for the anti lock brake system. I attached the chart for you.

It has nothing to do with your issue.

Watch the idle control motor. When you put it in forward, does the arm come out and increase the idle?

Okay, will have a helper start the car and I will watch.
It's just so weird that it lopes and runs inconsistent in Drive/Park/Idle then in Reverse it runs perfect.
This one has me totally stumped.
I looked up on GM website the ECodes. What I found was low engine temperature was E52, would that affect the engine?
Could a temp sensor be out?
I will check the throttle body and the idle control asap and get back to you.
Thanks for your help. This is making me go crazy!

It's weird because like today it ran fine in drive but when we started driving it it lopes and runs inconsistent.

Did the arm come out in drive?

No to the coolant sensor. It would effect both forward and reverse.

Sorry, I reattached the chart.

Okay, that concerns me. This means it is working correctly and it should run and not stall.

The one thing that could cause it to stall is the torque converter. It could be locked internally and not releasing.
