I took my vehicle listed above to the shop and they said the starter was fried because of an electrical problem and that both had to be fixed. Is that possible? Because everything else work just fine; the lights, gauges, radio, everything or are they just trying to get more money?

Good morning,

Ask them specifically what the electrical problem is. The explanation for you does not make sense.

If the starter has failed then you deserve an explanation as to why it failed and what repairs are being done.

Ask them for a written estimate with exactly what they are going to repair and upload it to this post so we can see it.
