Electrical interference on ignition system from power lines

Without knowing exactly what is causing the interference be it electrical or certain frequency radio wave interference, there is very little that can be done. I would contact Toyota direct go above the dealer level and ask if this problem as been reported before and if there is a know fix. Some European cars have a problem with the audio system acting up under certain external electrical conditions and odd atmospherics as well, and some improvement has been to fit a anti static strap to the car, but I would contact Toyota and ask there first. Within the electrical system of the car is what is known as a CAN BUS which has its own shielding, there may be a problem here. The way it works is somewhat involved to repeat here, but if there is a problem, there can be a U code set in the PCM. U codes are communication codes and this should show if there has been a break in data transfer.
