Eco idle malfunction

The eco idle indicator turned to orange color and is blinking continuously. I had it checked with local mechanic but they said it is due to catalytic converter choking. I need your expert opinion as I am not satisfied with my mechanic's opinion.

Just remove your battery's negative terminal and reconnect it after two to three minutes.
