I saw something hanging on a closer look it was some sort of wire with a connection. I unconnected it and the one piece was ground down to almost nothing. I was wondering what it could be on the driver's side front wheel some sort of wire with a connection. Took off the bad piece and zip tied the other end out of the way this wire has something to do with the wheel. I do have ABS light on also service traction control and traction control is off. When I push the button, nothing happens it's off all the time been this way for some time now.

Hello,

Sounds like the wire you took of is for the wheel speed sensor. The wheel speed sensor is located in the hub and there is a connector that comes out of the hub and connects to the wire that is on the vehicle side.
This controls the ABS functions for the wheels. It detects wheel lockup and sends that data to the ABS module.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
