My driver's side brake light refuses to work. I replaced the bulb twice, to be sure one new bulb wasn't bad. I have cleaned the ground location on the frame, new connectors, newish (6 months old now) taillight circuit board. I've plugged the passenger side circuit board into the driver's side and the brake light works, I plug the driver's side circuit board into the passenger side harness, and it works, I put it back on the driver's side where it belongs, and it does not work. Could this circuit board just be temperamental and extremely hardheaded because it refuses to light up when in its intended location. Could it possibly be the pigtail to the circuit board? Thanks in advance for any and all help with this issue that I'm having with my beloved truck.

Okay, you can swap the boards to the other sides and the brake lights work on each, but if you plug the right sideboard into the right side it stops? That sounds like a connector issue. Look at the board real close, are the connector pins tight on the board? Try this, turn on the hazard lights, now try to push the connector up and down or twist is a bit. If the light starts working it's in the connector, probably it is spread apart and doesn't make good contact. Most of those have connectors that can be released and pulled out of the housing, I would remove it and compress it slightly and put it back together and then do the other wires as well. If it now works you have a fix.
