Where the arms cross has broken apart. My Chilton manual says to use 1/4" drill to drill out rivet heads for glass removal. I got the right heads off just fine but the core of rivet is still holding glass in place. Do I need to drill all the way through?

No, if you drill the heads take a punch and hammer and punch the rivets out, however if it is still attached to the window and the window will fall as well. See pictures for reference.

Thanks guys. Somehow I got the entire thing out at the salvage yard all intact. Once I got home I removed the one bolt and was able to slide the regulator track(?) Off the arms. But I assume I should tap the digits through from the inside to outside of window. If I remove the motor is that going to mess up the spring tension on the arms or the "memory" of this motor to know where all the way up and down are?
