I broke the latch (bad day) anyway got a replacement latch/ actuator got it mostly installed but I think he may have messed up the rods that go to the inner handle and inner lock. Well I know he did on account of him having to bend them so much and snip an end of one to make a better hook connector.
The outer handle rods are both connected, inner not. Broke the plastic part that attached rod to inner driver lock (by the handle). Can't open from inside, seems too tight to open handle, can only be opened by outside handle. While pulling open the door. Latch doesn't appear to be working either again because no handle or lock manipulation makes it move.
I have pics and vids, sorry about quality. Never mind it won't add them.

If it is the correct latch there should be no need to modify anything. Looking at the part number it appears to be NLA so could you tell me where the one you have came from?
With what you have there and the lack of support from GM you might be better off finding a salvage yard that has a complete door and getting that, then strip the parts you need off of that door. Www. Car-part. Com. Enter in the vehicle info (the classic is under 2005 Malibu) then see if there is a yard near you that has a complete door. I looked in my area and there were a lot of them from $50 to $350 but you don't need one that is perfect just that it has working parts. That would get you a latch, the rods, and you would be able to see how the rods fit to make it work again.

Unfortunatley there are only two 05 classics in every salvage yard around me including 3 cities. Which is where I got this part. I cant find a diagram for my make and model anywhere online! I was unaware I needed the rods so left those and needed help installing it. That person bent the rods, and cut one, to the point of looking like a wire hanger that someone tried to straighten. I believe he attached them wrong from what I can tell thanks to a youtube I just found by a1 auto of an 05 venture. A diagram would be so helpfull or vehicls compatible to mine?

The problem is that most service info doesn't show the rods. They would be in the build manual but GM doesn't let those out very often.

Found online but they're the closest if not exactly like 05 classic latch lock actuator and door. Can I remove the rods from actuator without uninstalling? If so, how do I pop them out and what is the red rod? Plastic holder thingys called? Retainers?

You can get the retainers at many parts stores on the HELP rack. The red one that has the hook through it is broken. It should look like the green one in your video. If you look at the green one you notice how the end goes through the bushing and the rod then bends with the green retainer clipped to it? You unclip the retainer from the rod and it stays in the hole in the latch and the rod just lifts out.
