When I turn the ignition on the car goes through its check everything mode then even before I start it puts up these warnings: Airbag fault, ABS fault, stability control off and down the bottom screen, ESP off.

Hello,

Any of those given faults get detected when there is an issue with one or more of the components within the given system.
It could be any number of sensors, modules, or wiring. Without knowing the fault codes, it is difficult to tell what might be the issue.

For the ABS fault it could be one of the wheel speed sensors, or control module.
For the Airbag fault it could be a crush sensor that is malfunctioning or issue with wiring or module.

The best course of action would be to scan the vehicle and retrieve the ABS and the Airbag codes.
You will need to use a diagnostic scanner that can decode error messages for those systems.

Here is a helpful video on how to retrieve ABS codes:

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have had the car scanned by the Holden workshop. He said the left rear wheel sensor was faulty, so I have replaced that and the left front as well I have also replaced the electric part of the abs control module. The only real code that comes out is P0018 cam angle sensor caused by a stretched cam chain. There are no other codes that can be detected by my three scanners. So, do you have any other thoughts on this problem car?

So even with the sensors replaced you are getting the same code? I know the light is coming on the dash but what about the ABS code, are they the same?

And the cam angle sensor can impact the way the engine runs. But since it is due to a stretched chain only fix would be to replace the chain.
