truck engine sputters and dies while driving. If I wait 15 -30 minutes it will start again and I can drive a short distance before engine dies again. My mechanic has replaced the distributer and coil, twice. He did this because he checked to see if any spark was comming from the wires to the plugs, and found none. He has ruled out any over heating or fuel delivery problems. I believe he checked the electrical system with his computer and found nothing. Could their be some kind of sporatic electrical short or surge? He's stumpped! I will gladly pay you a decent donation if your answer fixes this problem.

As you didn't give an engine size I looked under 5.2L there is an automatic shut down relay that goesright from an engine fuse to the fulepump relay. It's in your power distribution center. It should be marked on the cover or in your handbook if you have one. You also didn't say if you have a security sysem or not as that can be causing the problem as well.
