2002 Dodge Stratus Passenger door lock not working

This is a 2002 2dr. Stratus R/T coupe.

The electric door lock appears to release the passenger door, but when you select the door lever to open the door from the inside the door does not open. However, you can still open the passenger door from the outside.

Remove the door panel and check the linkage to the lock. It sounds like it broke or came loose.

Not sure, maybe door has Child safety lock that was activated

That is very possible. Open the door from the outside. You should see a lever to select child safety if it is equiped.
