1995 Dodge Stratus my car died yesterday

My car has a really big oil leak and yesterday it started making a clicking noise and then it died. Do you know what would cause this to happen? It stopped when I was driving and woulndt start again. It didnt make any noise when it died it just shut down.

As you had a big leak and and still ran the engine until it ticked, you may have run the engine with no oil. The engine basically "froze" due to heat and not enough lubrication. When it froze, it may have snapped your timing belt.

These are just speculation (worst case scenario), you won't know for sure until the engine is torn down.
