Electrical problem
1995 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Manual

Nothing on my dash works except the fuel gauge, not even the radio. I've checked all the fuses, as well. What do you think the problem might be, besides the fact I probably need a new car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Did all these components stop working at the same time? If not then it may not be one issue causing these problems. When you turn on the ignition all the warning lights should flash on for a few seconds. When you start the vehicle, look for a warning light that reads "NO BUS"
If this light comes on then you may have a bad CCD bus. If it doesn't come on then you may be having a problem with the printed circuit board or a shorted power wire in the harness.

There was no "bus" light. Just seatbelt, oil, temp, & e-brake. The car was like this when we bought it. It really runs great, I just would like the dash to work. If it is the circuit board or a short in the harness, is this something a "weekend mechanic" could fix? If so, could you please tell me where to begin looking. I really appreciate your help. Thanks again!

The circuit board and harness aren't difficult to replace but they are difficult to diagnose. When you say weekend mechanic i'm not sure of your level of experience. I would say if you've never traced a circuit for a fault before then this would be a very frustrating problem for you to diagnose on your own.
