Electrical problem
1994 Dodge Shadow 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
I don't have rear signals or brake lights and the tail light is very dim.
I've changed the flasher, checked all the fuses, replaced the turn signal cluster on the column.
I've checked the ground on the front fender and rear fender. I disconnected both grounds and still had dim head lights and the front turn signal was still on solid.
Still no rear signals or brakes. What am I missing? There is still another ground I guess, but where?
Do you

Replace the rear bulb sockets. The ground terminals are plugged into the plastic housing. They get corroded. You can buy replacement terminals from the dealership parts department, but it's hard to clean out the socket. Replacement sockets have the ground wires soldered on. You can even find a lot of sockets in the salvage yards, just look for ones with the same attaching tabs so they'll fit into your housings.

(These are tough little cars)!
