GETTING VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR MALFUNCTION

I HAVE A 99 DODGE RAM 1500 4X4 AND IT STARTED NOT SHIFTING CORRECTLY AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND CHECKED THE CODES AND IT WAS THE VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR MALFUNCTION, OUTPUT SPEED MALFUNCTION, AND CATALYST SYSTEM EFFICIENCY BELOW THRESHOLD LEFT SIDE. IS MY TP SENSOR GONE BAD?

Not likely, sounds like you need a new ccat converter on the left side, or new head pipe as the case maybe. The VSS (vehicle speed sensor) might be going out on you. If the PCM cant see speed it wont know when to shift the trans
