Computer problem

I have a 1994 5.2L dodge ram 4x4 and it has 108k miles. The engine light has turned on so I took it to get an obd code but for some reason the ecu does not want to communicate to the scanner. The tech said it could be the computer, but every thing runs fine on the truck. What could the problem be?

This might help, Have u checked the fuse in youre fuse panel, The fuse is blown it will cause that problem.

The technician found that a fuse was blown, but even after he changed it the computer didn't want to communicate.
