Engine squeals when accelerating

I have the truck listed above with a 4.7L. When accelerating over 2,000 rpm's the engine squeals real bad. What is this caused from, and how do I fix it?

Well it could be a few things. Like the belt could be worn or your alternator could be going bad. Or it could be your power steering pump.I would pop the hood and listen to where it coming from and go from there.

More then likely this is a belt slipping so I would remove the drive belt and drive it and see if it still squeals. If not then it is either the belt of a pulley is locking up and the belt is slipping on it.

A couple weeks ago my truck started squealing, got belt dressing and used the whole can did not stop, got wd40 and kinda helped but still squeals
used to stop after I turn the a/c **** off but now it always squeals but does stop after a min or two
belt tensioner?

Ya check the tensioner as it may be frozen and not holding correct tension. If you have a blet tension gauge use that and it should be around 80 pounds or so. Maybe more
