Electrical problem
2002 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual

Was told by a dealer that it was a LCM "Lighting Control Modual" problem, and something may have gotten a surge. Isn't that what the cicuit breaker is for? And it would be around $500 then told it was not that.

Borther is a electical engineer he thinks it is a short or a switch.

Could this be nothing more then a switch problem?

I'd check fuse 34--10amp in the integrated power module. With the lites on, that fuse should be hot, use a testlite. If it isn't hot, check the voltage circuits at the park lamp relay, use a testlite, two of those circuits should be hot all the time. Let us know what you find.
