1998 Dodge Ram staying running after start up

My truck has trouble starting up and idleing when I first fire it up after running for a minute or so it seems to do fine after that

Pull the spark plugs and read how they're burning. If they are rich with fuel we know they're not burning efficiently, if they are too lean, there is a lack of fuel. Reading spark plugs is a cheap and effective way to get an idea of what's going on inside the combustion chamber.
