1998 Dodge Ram 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My truck is about 12 years old and is always in the sun. My dashboard has started to crack and I have tried to look up ways to try to stop it from cracking and I havent found anything. Any ideas on what to do about the dashboard cracking?

It's a little too late now. The damage is already done. The only way to avoid it is to keep the sun off of it with a dash cover or something. I live in South Florida and my dash has been covered since the day I bought it.
