My truck has a leak, somewhere. I does not smell like antifreeze. I was just wondering if this might be a chronic problem with my truck. The passnegers floor board gets wet after it rains. I has been doing this for 6 years now, and I actually removed the carpet to prevent it from rusting out, or molding. I can't find where the leak is coming from. Windshield seal? I donlt know, Ive tried squirting it with a garden hose but I can't make it leak.
Do you
have the same problem?

Chances are it is coming from the windshield; however, it is not a common problem. Also, check the mouldings around the door. If possible, have someone spray it while you lay under the dash to check. May also be coming in from where the HVAC box seals to the firewall or the fresh air intakes drain is plugged allowing the water inside Leaks are a pain to find, but if you have other questions, let me know.

Does it smell like coolant?Or its just water? If its just water then it could be so many different things you could even have a clogged up ac drain and it could be a build up of excessive water in your ac box. Or it could be a leak somewhere which you would have to dona water test. Basically your inside while someone runs water all over the the area you suspect the leak. While you see where the water is coming in.

There all pretty much in the same place on all vehicles around the center of your firewall in the engine compartment towards the bottom of the ac box. Some have hoses coming off them and you can try squeezing the hose in different areas and see if water comes out. Some dont have hoses and there is just a opening. Spiders build webs in there plus debris from the fresh air inlet get in the ac box and clogg them up.

If it doesn't have a hose you can use a metal coat hanger just dont stick it in very far.

Did you get the water inside after a rain?Or was it there without it raining? If it was there without it raining then I would suspect maybe a clogged ac drain but if it rained then sounds like you have a water leak where from rain water getting in some how.
