1994 Dodge Ram oil pressure

I just redid the heads as soon as I got it going I drove about a mile and lost all oil pressure so I replaced the oil pump now I was getting good pressure and it is now getting very low to no pressure and when I check the dip stick it says I have hardley any oil in the pan the motor was kind of gunky as well

I would check the drain down holes
u said you had a lot of sludge in the motor
its not leaking or burning oil
you had started with the correct amount of oil
question is
where is the oil?
I think its stuck on top and not returning to the oil pan
you may wants to check that
