Lost oil pressure came back and lost again while driving. Started in driveway had pressure. Had same problem about three years ago replaced oil pump and cleaned screen. Do I have to jack up engine to pull oil pan?

When you lose the pressure, does the engine knock or tick? I ask only because it could be the sending unit and that is much easier to replace (and cheaper).

It only did it for about thirty seconds and then returned, then it dropped again. When I go in my driveway I turned motor off then recranked it and it returned to normal. I have since changed oil and filter it seems to be back. I drove truck around neighbor hood and pressure stayed at high end of gauge.

If it happens again, I would try replacing the oil sending unit. It is near the oil filter and takes about 10 minutes to replace, unless you hear the engine knocking or ticking. That would indicate a different problem. Let me know how things go for you.
