I am having problems with the High Idle on my 89 Dodge Ram 50 2.0 I replaced the carburator which was bad. Now everytime I start the car up the Fast Idle kicks up awful high for about 3 mins. But if I start the truck without touching the gas it will do just fine but have to wait about 4 mins before I can start driving. Was wondering where the screw is located. I can't seem to find it using the Haynes Repair Manual

Put the fast idle cam on the 2nd notch and adjust it to 1200rpm when the choke plate fully opens up it will drop to the curb idle speed make sure this speed is correct too.

Should be right beside the carb and its interconnect with the choke linkage-you need a repair manual to adjust it corrrectly.

That would be the fast Idle adjuster? Well will give it another shot. I do have a manual. But I was only here asking because in the manual it says it is on the top of the carb thats why I was asking. Could not find it there
