My truck starts fine in the morning and when I drive a couple of blocks to stop at a stop sign, it will die. I can start it up again, and if I go another couple blocks and take my foot off the gas peddel it will die again. Once it has been running about 10 to 15 minutes I don't have any more problems with it and it continues to run just fine. What could be causing this to occur? Thanks for any help with this issue.

The first 10+ miles in the AM, does it run smooth other than the dieing? Also, I know in 89 they had throttle body injection. I can't remember the 88's. Is it injected or carborated?

Yes, it runs smooth in the AM except for dieing until it warms up. Its throttle body injection, always starts without any problems.

What I need you to do is check fuel pump pressure first thing in the AM. Something tells me it is lower than needed. Here is a how to for checking. Let me know what you find.
