Engine Performance problem
2005 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 46000 miles

When I start my car, it revs all the way up then stalls. I checked the OBD code and it comes up P2074. I checked my manual and it is not in there. I need to know what is causing this.

Hi:
The code deals with a Throttle position sensor / vacuum leak. My guess is if the idle isn't going all over the place, you have a vacuum leak. Try this. With the engine running, place your ear near the engine and listen for a hissing noise. If you hear one, check hoses for leaks and replair. The only other thing that I can think of would be the Idle Air Control (IAC). It's an expensive repair so I recommend looking for the vacuum problem and if you can't find anything, have the IAC checked by a mechanic you trust.
