Car revs and lunges with foot on pedal.

First off, there is no check engine light on. Twice today my car has revved and lunged forward slightly. With my foot on the brake! The first time after it happened I immedialty put the in park and it revved while in park. What could this possibly be so I have an idea of what to tell the mechanic when I bring it in. Maybe what it might coast, also.

Just tell the tech what you told us. No need for more, he will check it out for you.

Could be a vacuum leak or an idle control motor.

Anyones guess at this point. Cannot give estimate till we know the failure
