2004 Dodge Neon oil light

I know I am in need of a oil change and yesterday my oil light came on so I went and got some oil 10w30 to put in my car until this weekend I can go get a oil change I put the oil in my car and as I was driving to work the oil light came back on again I would like to know is my engine about to go and if the check engine light comes on and goes off does that have something to do with needing transmission fluid my car is in good condition overall but now things are starting to act up please help

Welcome, if that is a low oil pressure lite that comes on, I'd get that checked out in a hurry. If the check engine lite is coming on, there may be some trouble codes. Some of the national brand autostores will check codes for free.
