2004 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Yesterday morning my car didnt start, thought it be the battery. So when I got home, I tried jump starting the car. It didnt work. I took the battery out and bought a new one, still didnt work. Every time I tried starting it, the computer on the dassh reads FUSE and so I tried changing the 30 amp starter fuse and still didnt. Is it ok to use a fusible link instead of actual fuse? It liked similar and had the same amp so I got it but not sure. It seems like its a fuse problem but cant figure it out. What other fuse should I change or is the fuse I replaced wrong? They dont seem burned out either. This was one day to the other.

Welcome to the forum, I'd check the voltage circuits at the starter relay, in the power distribution center, under the hood. Voltage for the load side of relay is hot all the time. Voltage for the coil side of relay goes hot when you turn on the key. You can pull relay, use testlite, see how many hot terminals, the key needs to be in the start position. Any testing, make sure the tranny is in park or neutral and the e-brake is set. Where applicable, I didn't look at your theft system? Anytime you check a fuse, use a testlite, check circuit for voltage, even if the fuse is good, if there is no voltage, the circuit is dead.
