Timing belt broke, 2.0L, changed belt, no compression or spark to plugs, changed engine due to bent valves, new engine has good compression, but still no spark to plugs and fuel smell is NOT present on plugs after cranking engine. P0743 code only error. It appeared to have "no spark" conditions after belt broke. Where do I start?

ASD relay checks good, engine light remains on. Tested plugs - no power, tested connector to ignition coil - no power to Primary #1 or #2, but have voltage to ASD with ignition coil connector off checking connector voltage. Voltage does go to fuel injectors, however, no fuel on plugs. Looking more like voltage from ECM/PCM not getting there?
