I have a 1998 dodge neon DOHC and when hooked up to a scanner it read that the crankshaft sensor was bad. So we replaced that and still have no spark, my husband seems to think (or its just wishful thinking) that it might be the ignition relay! Any thoughts, the car just won't start, never had any problems with it before. Please help!

Ok, does the car turn over but won't start? Check to see if there is power getting to the Coil Pack. If not check the fuses and relays. To check a relay find the one for the Ignition and look at the Numbers then check the other relays that may look like and check and see if numbers match if they do swap the 2 out and see if it will start.
If you are getting power to the coil it is possible that you have a bad coil pack.
It is also possible you got a defective Crank Shaft Sensor.
