Just purchased this 2001. The very next day engine light came on and it gives me an error code of 0172. Says its related to injectors running rich. The car starts and drives fine with the exception of stalling at idle - like at a light. It does start right back up but does stall constantly. Once Im moving its ok. Just put plugs and new wires in it. Gap was set to 040 on Bosch platinum plugs. I also filled the tank with 87 octane gas and added 1 bottle of Prestone Injector cleaner. Any suggestions on fixes short of a shop? Disabled vet raising 3 kids on my disability. Shop is out of the question. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello, several things might cause that, plugs, injectors, faulty o2 sensor. Any driveability issues? I can't pinpoint the problem without testing.

Hi, i'd put a scanner on it, look at the fuel trims. See what the engine sensors are doing, key off and running. If you have a dmm you can see what the engine sensors are doing, not as fast as a scanner that shows live engine data, but, you can see the voltage signals of the sensors. I'd want to see what the o2 sensor/s are doing?

If it's just an idle issue, I'd clean the throttle-body, check the idle air system.
