2000 Dodge Neon a really bad smell

I have a dodge neon 2000 I replaced the belts and a couple of days later a horrible smell comes from the engine it smells like skunk. Could it be the belts are rubbing? They told me I need a new serpentine belt tensioner could that be the problem?Im puzzled, HELP PLEASE.

Run car. When smell starts feel the belts. Do you notice is it hot? I mean really hot not just mildly warm or hot.

If nothing smell the alternator and see if that smells burnt
