my car is making a knocking noise, coming from the drivers side front tire. I took it to a tire shop and they told me it is not the tire. It might be something actually wrong with the car. It only makes this knocking noise when I am driving and not when I am turning or stopping.

Might be the cv joint on that side. When they go bad they can make that noise. The cv joint is the drive axle for the car and when they wear out they get loose and can break apart while driving. It is best to take it to a qualified shop to check the part for you. It should be little or no cost to have them look at it. Hope this helps MORT
