1996 Dodge Neon speedometer

My speedometer works sometimes and sometimes not. All other gauges work fine. Also I do not know how to get the gauge package (unit) out of the dash.

Your speedometer operation is controlled by the vehicle speed sensor. Looks like you are getting intermittent problem from the sensor.
