My Neon electronic instrument cluster drops out occassionally. Sometime all dial go to zero and sometimes only the speedo drops to zero. When I stop the car and restart, they come back on working ok. On a one hour drive it happens once or twice.

It would seem like a dirty contact???? or something else???

I live in Thailand and Neon spare parts and service are almost impossible to get....

If you can solve my problem, I will certainly donate to your cause as I am sure I will have more questions later.....

This is a common problem on Neons. You need to inspect the solder spots on the two large plug connections going to the instrument panel. They commonly fail and need resoldered. Before tearing panel apart, first ensure your battery cables are tightened and clean of any corrosion. A loose or bad connection at the ground cable can cause these symptoms as well.

Let me know what you find, I will follow up.
