2002 Dodge Intrepid over heating

My 2002 Dodge Intrepid is over heating after 20 mins. Of running I got the thermustat changed and that was fine it stated making a loud noise that sounded like it was in the the engine and all the water and Anifreeze came pouring out what else could it be? Water Pump? OR is it time for a new car or can I fix the car I love

Hi there,

I would be checking the radiator, have it cleaned Z& flow tested. Check cooling fans & pressure cap. Always start with the simple things first.
