1997 Dodge Intrepid Transmission Troubles

I have a 97 Intrepid that won't drive right. It won't do anything in reverse just rev up and drive will go for awhile and then go out. But I can shut off motor and start it right back up and drive works fine for awhile but still no reverse. Any Help will be greatly appreciated

The reason it's ok after you restart it is because the transmission control module resets the htdro-electrics involved. Scan both the TCM and the PCM to check it for fault codes. It may just need fluid or a service also. I hope it's ok for you. Let me know the codes you get.
