"Hi I'm hoping you can help me with my problem I have a 1996 dodge intrepid and it keeps overheating I've changed the thermostat and the coolant container because I had someone look at it and they said there was a crack in it so after that was replaced it still was overheating my fans are coming on like they should I'm just not sure what it could be. I can drive short distances without it overheating but if I drive more then 10-15 mins the gauge starts going up slowly then all of a sudden it's all the way up and the temp light comes on and the antifreeze all comes out of the overflow tube plus th eoil light keeps comming on and I check the oil level and its fine I even got an oil change and it still comes on it seems like the hotter the car gets the more the oil light stays on do you have any idea what the problem could be?"

THe oil is affected by the temp. If you have replaced the t-stat and had the system flushed, and the radiator isn't plugged, I would look at a possible head gasket. You would need to check engine compression to test for that.

Let me know if you have other questions.
