1994 Dodge Intrepid Transaxle won't shift up from second ge

I've replaced both speed sensors, tranny control module, Power Control module, tranny fluid w/ filter, and still have the same problem. Everything else works fine. Parking, reverse, no problem. Neutral/safety switch good. No computer code. When vehicle starts it will take off, shift once, slip about ten seconds later and go back into second gear and remain. Even resetting computer won't help.

Nice color. Tell me when it started, and roadtest it in D, then all the other forward speeds, i'm looking for 3rd. Also where did you read the codes from and what tool? Thanx

Well that's the problem: it won't shift past second gear. There is no code, no "Check Engine" light. Everything else seems to be working fine. I performed the ignition check for the codes according to the Haynes manual, but nothing. It goes into R, P, N, but it won't shift past second. I understand that it went into what's called Limp-in mode. How does that work?

After driving it, in D3, or D2 does it still do the same thing, I remember a few like this that had an internal failure, no codes limp-in. Overdrive hub, broken?
The TCM, part number matches? This OD is same in all forward gears? Maybe mechanical. If it still won't upshift when you roadtest it in D, there is a service bulletin about a limp-in problem concerning a wiring harness replacement, part number 4604900. This is the new number, see what happens after you roadtest it, ok. Its a clearance problem behind the transaxle.
