Loathe to admit that my car was overdue for an oil change-it started fine but as I was driving it surged forward twice like it wanted to stall but it keep going that is till I went to the Post Office and then it would not turn over. I have lights, radio, the dings that tell me the door is open, interior lights, etc. It acts like it wants to turn over but it can't it just goes vroom vroom vroom but wont turn over. The oil was very low so I added 2 and half quarts but the problem remains. I will promptly get the oil changed if I can get it to Wal-mart. Please tell me I didn't cause irrepairable damage. It is a 1992 Dodge Dynasty with a rebuilt 1994 Dodge Caravan motor. It has lots of miles and I would have to guess the actual since the odometer quit long ago. Between 125,000 to 150,000. It never ran hot I mean the guage in the car never went toward the H or did it smoke or show any obvious signs of trouble or that it would soon be in trouble. Will try the car again after letting it sit for a bit. I don't know if I fllooded it or ruined the fuel pump.( If so how much would the repair on that cost) It has half a tank of gas. Please help. Thank You

It turns out that I needed a new fuel pump and a fuel filter. I thought I had thrown a rod and was in such stress over it. Thank God it is running now. Now here lately when I first start it it seems to vibrate a bit a real fine vibration and then it goes away. Is this something to worry about?
