Heater problem
1999 Dodge Durango Engine Size unknown Four Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles

I SUDDENLY NOTICED THAT I HAVE NO AIR FLOW FROM INTERIOR VENTS. NO HEAT AND NO A/C. I MOVED ALL THE BUTTONS FOR EACH VARYING DEGREE AND TO NO AVAIL. I DON'T MIND THE A/C NOT FUNCTIONING BUT WITH 3 KIDS TO GET TO SCHOOL IN COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS, I AM BIT WORRIED. BOTH THE A/C AND HEATER WERE WORKING JUST FINE, NOT BUT A DAY AGO. WHAT COULD BE PROBLEM AND WHERE DO I START LOOKING? OR WHAT ASSUMPTION DO I NEED TO CARRY WITH ME TO THE MECHANICS BEFORE I POSE QUESTION TO THEM?

First check the Blower motor fuse in the Power Distribution Center under the hood by the battery. Then if no luck. Check blower motor resistor which is internally in the blower motor assembly (dash board removal may be neccesary) If no luck, the blower motor has either a mechanical or electrical problem with the blower components. If third step comes to play, take it to a cert. Mechanic. Hope this helps!
