My 2002 dodge dakota 4x4 sport has 80.000 km. It is missing and running rough. It is back firing and very hard on fuel. Just had tune-up at dealer. New spark plugs, wires and distrubitor cap and rotary button but the problem presists. What do you suggest I do to correct this problem.

Heres a few things to look into:

1. Are u getting check engine light on? Could have a problem with youre emission control system, Is not functioning properly. O2 sensors / TPS sensor / EGR valve soliode etc.

2. Faulty spark plug gap / Wires / coil packs.

3. Could have a problem with youre fuel pressure regulator, Or injectors, Also Injector vaccum leak at the injectors, Intake manifold / Or vaccum hoses.

4. Or youre timing is out a few degree's, Also youre cyl hd valves could be burnt.

Good Luck.
