Help! I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota sport extended cab with 136,000 miles v6. In the past 3 weeks while driving between 50-80 mph the truck starts to loose power, while pulling out of parking lots at 5 mph, while on a light, the rpm goes down between 0 and 1, it has no power, it back fires, it chugs and then it dies. I have to wait for about 5 minutes prior to starting the vehicle again. If I place it in neutral and press the gas the rpm's go up just fine, the engine sounds good, then when I place it on Drive, it strugles or dies. The engine light comes on, so I have had several codes and change everything based on the codes ( catalytic converter, both 02 sensors, igntion coil, tune up with new wires and clean fuel system), I even took it to the dealership and they performed the job, and still stalling. I'm at the end of my rope because they do not know what to do. WHAT IM I TO DO? Beside buying a new car, which is not an option. Please help.

I had the same problems a couple of months ago, and I did the same as you did, but after that, it started again. I then realise that it was because the were some humidity in the gas that I put in the tank. All I did is change the gas station where I put gas, and since then, all is fine. Maybe you should try that I see if it works
