Exhaust manifold leak?

I have the 3.9L engine. The 2 rear bolts in the exhaust manifold have rusted out and has caused the manifold to warp. I must replace the manifold and gasket but wonder what would be the best way to remove what remains of the 2 broken (rusted) bolts in the cyl. Head?

Hello,

In order to get a broken off bolt out of the cylinder head, you will have to use a drill, small enough that you can drill on the center of the bolt and still have plenty of material left around the drilled hole. Then use an extractor to get the bolt out.
You will have to be very careful not to damage the cylinder head in the process.

Here is a video that nicely shows how its done:

I have also attached the exhaust manifold removal diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
